Mamacan are four Waiheke women who perform a unique musical blend of hip-hop, world music and singer songwriter styles. Mamacan is made up of Lou Rix (vocals), Ange Munns (guitar, vocals), Liz Ross and Andrea McIntyre (percussion).
This recording is of a live-to-air performance broadcast on Waiheke radio station The Beach 99.4fm during NZ Music Month, May 2007. This was part of the stations Live On The Beach series featuring local island musicians. They perform three original songs and talk about the band and their music.
