Subject: great bass and drum solo intro
hey George Porter, fuck yeah!

good to hear a bass solo that is out there yet accessible and yet. hey, he is a godfather of fuck bass, after all! great fit. hope they come back to the bay area, at least in a venue and not at a festival for my lazy ass!

Subject: JAMMIN
The addition of George Porter to this leg of the tour made for ESSENTIAL viewing and listening. George really raised Billy K's game to another level. The funky bass kept the energy tight and percolating at all times. Papa Mali's gutbucket guitar added a lot of grit to these familiar tunes, producing an original performance that was way beyond "cover band." Just a joy to witness these fine players tearing it up onstage, having fun and challenging each other. And the crowd was a great mix of New Orleans Funkateers getting psyched for Jazzfest, and the usual cornucopia of SF Deadheads that always know how to bring the positive NorCal party. Thanks so much for this fine recording of one of 2010's best all-out jams.

Subject: Love hearing this 7 Walkers band!
I just saw this cool 7 Walkers show in Tulsa this week and loved it. Thanks for making this excellent recording available! I have a quick question that I don't know if you can answer: I'm trying to make a CD copy of this with iTunes so I can listen to it in the car. Every time I've tried to burn the disc, the songs are copied out of order. I have it sorted by track number. Is there some built in tag that's preventing the songs from being recorded in order? Just curious about that!

Subject: Excellent recording.
I don't know if it's just the acoustics of the GAMH, or good equipment, or just a good spot, but parts of this show really rip. This was linked off of the Dead.net's inspiring interview with BK a few days ago. This is a really strong four piece. I would say that by the end of this little tour these guys will have to make the decision to stick with this thing because it' s totally worth it. Besides just sounding really great, I think these guys are total showman. Saw em the night before at Crystal Bay and these guys are just charismatic in each of their own mutant ways as they belt this shit out.
