Subject: Galerie Heinemann Connection
Subject: Galerie Heinemann Connection
Re the previous review. David must be the grandson of Alfred and Elsa, and son of Gerhard and Rita, as well as cousin of Danielle.
I am a genealogical researcher and speaker. I am currently updating my presentation on the witnesses at my grandparents' 1907 wedding in New York. The title page from this catalog is on one of my slides. It is a great resource and documentation of history. The witnesses were Edward Theodore Heinemann and his mother Elizabeth, my 1st Cousin 2X removed. Elizabeth was the wife of Theodore Heinemann, David Heinemann's eldest son and Mimi's brother-in-law.
I am presenting this lecture which covers Galerie Heinemann on February 23, 2017 in Ocala, Florida. I have some photos of the family, but I'm missing others. If David Haas sees this, google me.

Subject: My Great Aunt's Gallery
Subject: My Great Aunt's Gallery
I stumbled on this catalog and it is fascinating. The Munich art gallery which provided the paintings belonged to my Great Aunt, Mimi Heinemann. She ran it before the war. She was Jewish and the gallery was confiscated by the Nazis, but her family escaped to Switzerland. I once met her son (although I might have the generations mixed up) Fritz.
I recognize some of the artists described in the catalog. I still have some paintings by a few of them which must have originated in the gallery. They were passed down to me from my Grandmother, Mimi's sister through my father to me.
I'm not sure if anyone else will find this document as interesting as I do, but I have downloaded it to show to other family members.
