Subject: ABOUT WPA GUIDE Reviews
I ordered one of these state guides. It was republished, Mississippi, and available at a fairly high cost at amazon. As a genealogist and history reader I find these guides to be historically accurate and offer details that I haven't found anywhere else. Articles are wonderful.
As far as the other review here listed (one star) which complains, not about the book quality but that this person could see a post about Microsoft or whatever it was, the group who scanned the book, likely. I am a little more patient. I don't think we should be so spoiled and expect everything our way, no logos, for free. Moreover, I think it isn't kind or proper to give a wonderful book, a one star review, and then don't discuss the book quality at all.
I come to www.archive.org and can download anything here at no cost, which I find to be amazing. As a historian and reader.
In fact, I recently joined this website and I give a small monthly donation. I also review books. I hope in the future to scan a favorite book or two and upload the scans here. After all I get a whole lot out of this service. It feels good to give back. Hey, if we want this service to continue we need to volunteer time or money.

Subject: WPA Guides are great, but...
...is it really necessary to put an ad for Microsoft at the bottom of every page? Aside from being a reminder of the company's colossal ego, the graphic in many places obscures the text of the book itself. I'm sorry, but I'm not downloading a 60-megabyte Microsoft ad. One star until the ads go away.
