Canon Shot! You can hear it on versions of St. Stephen, sometimes after the "One man gathers what another man spills" line, a terrific caterwall of madness, smoke and canonfire - and I hear tales of Mickey lighting up the canon at the Filmore and what a great explosion it made. Everyone going wild in anticipation.

Are there any photos out there and any really unmistakable canon shots we need to hear. Like one of Pickett's inscrutable madmen was Mickey then and now - percussion indeed! Maybe that canon should be part of the GD Archive Collection.

Mickey's cannon was not very large. The halls were smaller then, and the stage was usually very crowded. As everyone was aware of Mickey's pyrotechnics, everyone stood clear. Including Ramrod. He also did not do this nightly.

Damn, I saw this thread title and had high hopes of camera recommendations.

One story I read said that Mickey stopped using the canon after nearly burning up Ramrod's head with it when the fuse went off too fast. After the show Mickey noticed the burns on Ramrod's head and realized that Ramrod had just kept on working the show without saying anything..
