The Alpha Incident |
Can anyone tell me why 'The Alpha Incident' is no longer on the archive? I'm sure it was a copyright thing but I couldn't find the forum post on it. I was wondering cause I have it on a mill creek box set and I am sort of wondering how that works if I have a copy that was printed before it was found to be under copyright. I'm assuming that my copy is still legal. I guess I'm just curious about the whole incident. No pun intended. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Re: The Alpha Incident |
I thnk it was determined to be copyright and removed from here. Mill Creek probably had their copy out before knowing one way or the other. Some video companies do that sometimes. All I can say is enjoy the copy you have. "The Alpha Incident" has been put up and taken down more than once here, but I'm sure anyone who wanted a copy managed to snag it while it was here.

Re: The Alpha Incident |
I was the one that posted "Alpha Incident" because it is listed as public domain in the post below.

It was removed on 01/25/2011 due to a copyright complaint by a Mr. Rebane.
IMDb lists Bill Rebane as the director

I just checked my copy of the film. There's no copyright notice, so Rebane doesn't have a leg to stand on. Put it back up.

Re: The Alpha Incident |
There maybe more than one version of the film. Both imdb.com and amazon.com list the U.S. DVD version as running 86 minutes. Then imdb lists the film's theatrical run time as 95 minutes while youtube has a copy up that runs 93 minutes. Perhaps there's one cut of the movie that's copyrighted and another that isn't?
