Subject: Dorothy von Heisman
Subject: Dorothy von Heisman
The title I have used is the author of a story, "The Wilson Life Insurance Fraud," that appeared in The Wide World Magazine Vol. 11 (pages 67-70). The story was interesting and fairly well written but it was the author I was more interested in, as I believe this to be my grandmother. She purportedly was married to John William Heisman (unlikely I think), but his name does appear on my father's birth certificate, whose name at birth was Warren Loring Heisman (he later dropped Heisman). The name in the title is mentioned on a passport application, although she should not have used the "von." As far as the other stories go, I liked the variety of subjects. It's a pity stories of this type are difficult to find in this kind of format nowadays.
