Audiolab Tape Degausser MODEL TD-5 - The Big Boy
The industry work-horse for erasing data, formatting and calibration tracks necessary to re-use DLT media. The TD-5 is a high energy degausser designed to erase all formats of audio, video, computer and digital media up to 2200 oersteds. The Audiolab TD-5 Professional Degausser is designed to handle all formats of cassettes and tape reels up to 16 inches in diameter and up to 2200 oersteds. With the option to choose between two degaussing field strengths, the TD-5 is like having two degaussers in one. The first one being a continuous duty degausser for erasing formats such as VHS, diskettes and audio cassettes. The second being an intermittent duty degausser with a stronger degaussing field designed to erase high coercivity tapes such as Beta SP, DLT, D2-D9, M-II, and all Digital Video tape formats.
